Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the CoParent applications and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using CoParent, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. The Service

CoParent helps co-parents coordinate shared caregiving: custody calendars, messaging, expenses, documents, and related household information. Features may change as we improve the product. Some features require an active Coordinating Plus subscription.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally able to form a contract in your jurisdiction and old enough to use the Service under applicable law (generally 18+, or the age of majority). You may only use CoParent for lawful co-parenting coordination.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Keep your email and sign-in methods secure. Provide accurate information. You may delete your account in Settings; deletion removes your login and follows the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Families and invites

A family becomes fully shared when both parents are linked (for example via invite code). Until then, some features remain unavailable. You agree not to share invite codes publicly or with people who should not access your family’s information. Leaving a family may return it to a pending state for the remaining parent.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse another person through the Service
• Upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content
• Attempt to access another user’s data without authorization
• Reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the Service
• Use CoParent to violate court orders or applicable law

CoParent is a coordination tool, not legal advice, mediation, or emergency services. Follow your court orders and local laws. In an emergency, contact local authorities.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Coordinating Plus may be offered as an auto-renewing subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Prices and periods are shown in the store and in-app purchase sheet. Payments are charged to your store account. Manage, cancel, or request refunds through Apple or Google according to their rules. Deleting your CoParent account does not automatically cancel a store subscription — cancel in your store settings if needed.

7. Your content

You retain rights to content you submit (messages, files, notes, schedules). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate the Service for you and your linked co-parent. You represent that you have the rights needed to share that content within your family.

8. Intellectual property

The CoParent name, branding, and app software are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you rights to use our marks except as needed to use the Service.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that shared information will always be complete or up to date.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR COORDINATING PLUS IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (OR LOCAL EQUIVALENT).

11. Termination

You may stop using CoParent and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we must do so for security or legal reasons.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance, except where local law requires additional consent.
